24 Carat Gold Rate

24 carat gold is the purest form of gold bullion (gold bar). It is 99.99% pure, commonly known as 100% pure gold in the market.

24 carat is the standard internationally acceptable maximum gold purity caratage level i.e. 99.9% pure (known as 100% pure gold). So, a 12 carat gold means 50% gold content and 50% other metals like copper and silver in a gold bar or jewelry.

A caratage is the measuring yardstick of gold purity, blended with the other materials. The lower value of caratage means lesser gold content in a gold bar or an ornament. Examples of caratage are 24 carat, 23 carat, 22 carat, 21 carat, 20 carat, 19 carat, 18 carat, etc.
